ELECTRONICS:

If there is time, it's best to get things in NJ as you can get dual voltage instead of having to use a converter.  You can buy almost any Japanese brand of CD player, walkman, radio, or stereo system, that you can afford. It is nice to have a tape player and a short wave for listening to news.  This will help to lighten your travel load. Every kind of appliance for bathroom, kitchen or living room in every price range is available here now.

TRANSPORTATION:

AIRPORT:

Tickets can be purchased directly from airline offices.  For those arriving for the first time, you can arrange to be picked up by someone from the school.

TRAIN: 

Train tickets can be obtained at the Train Station(what a concept).  Those who are in country will help  you get oriented with the "Travel in China" process.


TAXIS:


Fares are inexpensive and the only bargaining you may have to do is going to or from the airport or train station.

BUSES:
